Wild Boars from Golden Prairie farm are raised free range on the Saskatchewan Plains. Wild Boar is different in texture and taste than a domestic pig. This type of meat is very lean due to the Boar's fat being concentrated directly under the skin instead of being marbled throughout the meat. Saturated fats from Wild Boar are just second to Chicken at 2.9 grams per 100 grams and are the highest in protein at 26.1 grams per 100 gram serving.
