Latino Empanadas



LATINO EMPANADAS  - new in town specializing in original and cultural South American food ­"EMPANADAS".

Owner: Gustavo Roger, co-owner Jack Andrus.

The name EMPANADA comes from the Spanish verb empanar, meaning to wrap or coat in bread dough. Empanada is made by folding dough.

LATINO EMPANADAS provides a variety of empanadas, made with only the freshest ingredients using no preservatives or additives, inspired by countries from South America. The most common natural ingredients will be beef and/or groundbeef, chicken, and vegetables. Seasoned with original latino sofrito and herbs. We are planning to introduce other kinds such as cheese, spinach and sausages (see below).

LATINO EMPANADAS offers a wide range of empanadas which are available in two forms:

-The first are "traditional-baked"  a variety of empanadas  made with beef, poultry, and different vegetable fillings, or combination of them, surrounded in our traditional dough

-The second form are "take-and-bake" A delicious empanadas ready to finish (baking) them at home, with the same ingredients as the traditional-baked products.

Currently available:

conCarne – Empanada. - Lean ground beef, potatoes, caramelized Spanish onions, seasoned

with latino sofrito and herbs surrounded in our traditional dough.

chicKurry – Empanada. - Tender pieces of chicken breast simmered in curry sauce with finest herbs, mixed with rice, seasoned with latino sofrito surrounded in our traditional dough.

veggie – Empanada. - Potatoes, carrot and chick peas and caramelized Spanish onions, seasoned with latino sofrito, surrounded in our herbed dough.

chorizo – Empanada. – Chorizo sausage (Spanish sausage), mixed with rice, seasoned with latino sofrito surrounded in our traditional dough.

Soon to be available:

dePollo – Empanada. - Tender pieces chicken, potato, carrots in a béchamel sauce to perfection, seasoned with latino sofrito, surrounded in our traditional dough.

Verde – Empanada. - Spinach, caramelized Spanish onions, in delicious feta cheese sauce, seasoned with latino sofrito, surrounded in our herbed dough.

delMar – Empanada. - Shrimps, combined with mozzarella cheese, surrounded in our herbed dough.

“BF”- Empanada (breakfast) - A harmonious mixture of scrambles eggs, sausage and sauteed Spanish onions, seasoned with latino sofrito, surrounded in our traditional dough.

laHuancaina – Empanada. - Potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, evaporated milk, chili and turmeric sauce, surrounded in our herbed dough.
